Paper Sweeties 25 Days of Christmas

Hello there!!!

I created a card and some adorable decorations for candycanes that
I'll be giving to my son's school. I only need about another 75 candycanes, lol!
I heat embossed the background of the card with snowflake stamps and Wow opaque white powder. Than I inked up the background with peacock feathers distress oxide ink.
I also added a few splashes of white paint.

I stamped and die cut the holly leaves and colored them up with Copic
Markers in shades G29, G46, G43; R59, R46, R43.
I die cut the snowflakes and heat embossed them with Wow metallic silver sparkle powder.
The sentiment was heat embossed with opaque white powder.

For the candycanes, I used the same holly but added some die cut felt to the background.
In between the felt and cardstock, I added some gold thread loops.
I topped it off with a rhinestone.
I finished the card with some rhinestones and glitter stickles.

Here is a list of Paper Sweeties stamps and dies used:

May All Your Wildest Dreams Come True

Hello there!!!
we are showcasing our favorite stamps, dies and or stencils combined with our favorite technique.
I love creating my own backgrounds. Certain stamp sets are perfect for just that!
The stamp set I used, Look For Stars, is ideal!
It has tiny stamps, like the stars and cloud, and moderately small stamps like the sleepy moon.
I absolutely adore the squirrel!!! The sentiment is from the set, Playtime.

Select your cardstock and stamps.
I used kraft cardstock for the base and white cardstock and vellum
for the cloudy path and squirrel.
Let's get started:
Stamp the moon and mask the image.
Stamp the stars and cloud.
Stamp the squirrel.

When your background is full, it's time to color.
I used Copic Markers in shades
Y15, Y15, Y26
BG11, BG15, BG18
RV63, RV66, RV69
E25, E27, E29, E49 (squirrel)
E40, E41, E43 (squirrel)
I added some white accents with a gel pen
and outlined the some images with a white pencil.
I also added some Stickles glitter.

I used Stitched Scallop Dies to create a cloudy path. I stamped the stars and sentiment.

Assemble your card.

Papertrey Ink October Blog Hop

Hello there!
Today I am playing along with Papertrey Ink's October Blog Hop.
Love this inspiration clip...
I took my inspiration from the fall the cold weather and changing leaves.
I used PTI's stamp set, Meadow Greens. I inked the leaf stamp up with some distress oxide inks in shades fossilized amber, mowed lawn, ripe persimmon, and barn door.
I used Leaf Prints Die and die cut the leaf from black cardstock and gold embossed the sentiment with Wow embossing powder. I distressed the leaf edges with white ink and added some gold thread. For a finishing touch I added some stickles glitter glue to the stamped leaves and adhered some rainstones.

CDD Troll Party

Hello there!
Michelle here!
We’re having a troll party on the Craftin' Desert Divas Blog and you’re all invited!!!! My card today displays a previous troll set, Mermaid Trolls , in a different way.
I paired it up with one of the newest stamp set, Merry Florals for a sweet Christmas card!
I stamped my images with black ink and colored them with Copic Markers.
I created my bokeh background using distress oxide inks in candied apple, picked raspberry and mowed lawn, and splashed the background with some water. Than I added some white dots in different sizes.
Tip: To add the white dots I make my own stencil using different size circle dies.
Tip: Create your own frame using two dies that fit inside one another! One that cuts the outside, the other cuts inside.
Stamp your sentiments, assemble your card, and add your finishing touches. Lately I’ve been adding stickles glitter glue to everything!

Merry Wishes

Hello there!
Just a quick post to share a card I created for
I may have gone overboard. I kept hearing my mother's voice telling me, "Less is more"...
Well, NOT today!!!!
I started off by inking up the background. I used distress oxides in spun sugar, picked raspberry, seedless preserves, and black soot. Than I added a few splashes of water and than some splashes of white paint.
I die cut the snowflakes using Lawn Fawn's  Mini Snowflakes Dies. I adhered some glitter from Recollections. I inked up some leftover cardstock with spun sugar and seedless preserves inks than die cut the ornaments. I used Lawn Fawn's Stitched Ornaments Dies.

I stamped the ornaments with Lawn Fawn's Tiny Tag Sayings. I adhered more glitter to the edge of the ornaments and toppers.

Essential Embossing Dry and Heat Embossing Technique

Essential Embossing
Dry and Heat Embossing Technique
Using dies to dry emboss

Hello there!!!
I'm on the Craftin' Desert Divas Blog
sharing some embossing techniques that are quick and easy!

Select your die/ dies to create your emboss background.
Position your die with removable tape ( washi tape) and run through your die cutting machine.
Repeat this process several times, until background is complete.
***TIP*** Be sure to use a rubber mat under your cardstock to ensure the die does not cut through the cardstock.

Choose your word die and die cut several times.
Use one to heat emboss, than adhere to the others to add dimension.

Assemble your card and add embellishments.
