Hello there! I'm on the Memory Box Blog sharing a Christmas card using the
amazing Ruffled Poinsettia Die!!!
This card is fairly simple to create. Here is how I went about it...
I die cut the poinsettia three times.
I colored the petals, leaves, and flower centers with Copic Markers.
I left the frame of the petals and leaves white.
The lighter poinsettia Copic colors: RV00, RV02, RV04.
The darker poinsettia Copic colors: RV63, RV66, RV69.
For the leaves: G40, G43, G46. For the flower centers: YR21, YR24.
I splattered white paint on the leaves and petals and set aside to dry.
I used a piece of black card stock for the background.
Splattered some white and gold paint and set aside to dry.
I die cut Peace Airy Script sentiment twice, once with silver glitter card stock
the other with basic black card stock. I adhered them
together slightly off center to create a shadow.
Emboss and trim the sentiment from the stamp set Tidings Wreath.
Assemble the card as you desire. This is the fun part!
You can arrange the flowers and sentiments any way you choose!
I adhered the poinsettias first with foam tape. Than I trimmed the over hang.
Than I adhered the die cut sentiment,
also with foam tape. The embossed sentiment I adhered with glue.
For a finishing touch, I added some Stickles clear glitter glue to the flower centers.
Hope you give this a try!!!
Thanks for stopping by!
