Happy Tuesday...hope you had a great weekend!

Thank you for your well wishes for the weekend...my husband and I had a great time!!! We were in Albany for a gun and knife show...my hubby loves that stuff. We haven't gone on any sought of vacation alone in five years. A long weekend alone together was awesome! The food was great too!

I have a card I created utilizing a few challenges...

and a love story theme from City Crafter Challenge blog...

The black ink is Hero Arts. The sequins are from Neat & Tangled Stamps. The enamel dots are Recollections.

I am also entering this card into The Card Concept...adding texture, wood. My style of choice is

  • designer papers/embossing
  • embellishments/accents
  • clean and fresh looking
  • some coloured images at times

Baby Shower Paper Straws

Hey there!!!

Yeah! It's Saturday...hope you are enjoying a fabulous weekend! My husband and I are in Albany for the weekend. My mom and sister are staying with the kids.

I am so happy to share with you the newest color combo at Dynamic Duos...
I chose to go with the dessert option...

So, I created straws for an upcoming baby shower...can you guess what she is having??!!!

My friend wanted to go with a chic, modern motif.

I designed two styles. The paper straws and tulle are from Michaels. The umbrella stamps and dies, and sentiment are from papertrey Ink. The tag punch is McGill. I used inks from Hero Arts and Color Box. The buttons are PTI. The twine from The Twinery.

Hope you can stop by the Blog and play along!!

I Miss You

Hello there Ladies (and maybe Gents)!!!
I have been on a card making rampage lately!
It feels good to create on a whim and actually like what I create!

So today I am playing along with CASology... and decided to jump on the bubble band-wagon!

I also followed the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches...

And I came up with this...

The word bubble stamps and dies are from Papertrey Ink, Bubble Talk. All cardstock is also PTI. The sentiment is from W Plus9, Fresh Cut Florals.

For the inks, I used Hero Arts black, ColorBox in curry, boysenberry and harbor. I scattered some clear sequins from Neat & Tangled Stamps.

Thanks for peeking!

I Love You...

Hey there!

Hope you are staying warm with the blast of bitter cold temperature we have been having here along the north east coast. How is it by you?

Well, I am so happy to play along with Colour Me...! I want to thank Hayley for choosing my card and bestowing top honours on me for their first challenge!
So here is this weeks color palette...

And here is what I chose to create...

I kept a very simple design today. I wanted to leave alot of white space.
The cardstock, stamps and die are all Papertrey Ink, Boutique Borders: Love Stamp Set. I also used PTI ink in Hawaaian Shores. The red ink is ColorBox fireberry. I scattered some enamel dots from My Mind's Eye and sequins from Neat & Tangled Stamps.

I also played along with The Card Concept...today is their first challenge!

We are to choose from 6 different styles to create our project. I chose Clean & Layering like Kay Miller.
The styles are divided into 6 style themes:
  • Clean & Simple (CAS)
  • Clean & Layered
  • Clean & Graphic
  • Freestyle Collage
  • Shabby Chic
  • Classy & Elegant

The stamps I used are from WPlus 9, Fresh Cut Florals stamps and dies and Borders & Backgrounds II. The cardstock and twine are from Papertrey Ink. For the inks, I used Hero Arts soft brown and cup o' joe shadow inks, and ColorBox rouge ink. The sequins are Neat & Tangled Stamps. The raffia is from Michaels.
