Confetti and Feathers

Hey there crafter's!
How are your preparations for the New Year going?
It's going fine here. I still have some food shopping to do and than food preparing...pigs in a blanket, mini calzones, veal spidinis, and hereos.

Well, I created two cards using the color palette from Colour Q ...

and the theme from CAS-ual Fridays...

This first card is for both challenges...

I used the flower center stamp from the Papertrey Ink stamp set Beautiful Blooms II to create lots of confetti dots. I used inks from PTI in classic kraft and haiwaiin shores, Color Box in peacock, and Hero Arts ink in navy. The sentiment stamp is from PTI Live Love Life. Sequins are from Neat & Tangled Stamps.
This next card is only for Colour Q...

I used the stamp set Fancy Feathers from Clearly Besotted Stamps. All inks and sequins are the same as above.
Cardstock for both cards is from PTI.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek!

A Celebration of Love

Hey there!
9 days and counting!!! This year just flew...way too fast! Not sure how that happens. We just seem to get busier and busier! It's bitterly cold here in New York and I still have so much shopping to do. Gift cards are starting to sound like a good idea!

Well anyhow,

I do have a card to share with you, for The Paper Players.  A 'WOW' challenge...white on white...

I decided to wedding card...

White cardstock and twine are from Papertrey Ink. heart eas cut using Spellbinders heart and scalloped heart dies and vellum paper from Recollections.  I used an embossing folder from lifestyle Crafts to emboss the vellum. I added some straight stitches to the heart.  The white cardstock was embossed with Linen and Canvas embossing plate from PTI.

The sentiment is from Paper Sweeties Stamps, Wedding Day. I inked it up with wet cement ink from Hero Arts. The glittery bells are from Michaels. The sequins are from Neat & Tangled Stamps.

Bring on the Happy

Good morning!

Oh baby, It's cold outside!!! Snowing and dreary here in New York, but beautiful! I don't care what it's doing outside as long as I am home with my family!

I created a birthday card for a cousin of mine who is turning 50!

I used the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch!...

I used some wood leaves and a bouquet of flowers to relpicate the circles...

The color palette of aqua, lilac and white/ivory is her favorite! I like it too, very soft and sophisticated!
I also used the color palette from Color Throwdown...
It's hard to tell, but the cetainly celery shade are the stamen of the flowers (pollen)...
The wood flourishes are from Kaiser Craft. The cherry blossom flowers are from Wild orchid Crafts. The satin ribbon and pin are from Joanns. The sentiment stamp is from Hero Arts, black ink too. I used white cardstock from Papertrey Ink. I added some embossed stitches with my scor-bug. The sequins are from Neat& Tangled Stamps. The enamel dots are My Mind's Eye.

Such a simple card to make! Thanks for taking a peek!

You Make Me Happy...

Hello there!

Welcome back to another new challenge from Dynamic Duos....

I have to be honest...I had a difficult time matching up the Marina Mist shade. I have cardstock from Papertrey Ink that is really close, but I wanted to use pattern paper. So the closest I had was from Teresa Collins Summer Stories.

Honestly, the blue is a better match in the light. My blues always turn gray....not sure why?!  The striped paper is from My Mind's Eye Chalk Studio.
The sentiment stamp is from Papertrey Ink, We Go Together. I used black ink from Hero Arts. I was so tempted to add some sequins, but where ever I placed then just didn't look right.

The flower was made using a Sizzix die, tattered flower and vellum paper from recollections. The button and twine are from PTI. I trimmed some leaves from burlap I purchased at Michaels.

I followd the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches...

Come stop by the Blog and see what the wonderful design team created...

Hope you play along!!!
