My Best Friend

Hello.

I have two cards to share with you today.

This first card I made using the color palette from
Colour Q

here is my card....
I tried to replicate the quilt-like pattern in the picture. I used a Spellbinders square die to cut the shapes, than cut them in half. The white and mango colored cardstock and sentiment are from Papertrey Ink. The other shades of cardstock are from Recollections. The ribbon is from Michaels and the ink is Memories.

For my second card

I used the sketch from Waltzingmouse...

   and here is my card...
The cardstock is Papertrey Ink the pattern papers are from My Mind's Eye. The border stamp and sentiment are Waltzingmouse. I used tea dye distress ink and cup-o-joe shadow ink from Hero Arts.

The corner flourish is a Heartfelt Creations die. I used a Spellbinders die to create the top flap. My mom crocheted the flower and leaves. The button is PTI.

Thanks for stopping by!

Michelle

LOVE your colour q - I'm amazed at how well your triangles fit together - whenever I try something like that I have unsightly gaps everywhere! Those colours look amazing together and I love the graphic look of this card!

Two beautiful cards Michelle! love the colorful blocks on the first one (reminds me of a block set I had when I was young where you could create different designs with the blocks!)

Your colors and papers are wonderful on your WMS sketch card - love the crocheted flower and stampings!

Your take on both challenges turned out gorgeous. I love the almost "quilted"look of the first card. The subtle shades of the 2nd card and that banner with the sentiment is perfect. (The way you inked around the edges; fab!)And gingham; you can never go wrong with gingham...
