Happy Anniversary

Hello and happy tuesday!
I have a card to share with you today and a technique you MUST try!!!!

I wanted to create a faux wood background and wasn't sure how. So I searched you tube and found this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yX6WGFnGP2A. I loved it!!!

I made the card for The Ribbon Reel .... I love to play here...

                                                            How beautiful is this photo!

I'm also entering it here at CAS-ual Fridays

Here is my card...
Doesn't the background look great!  The video is great and very easy to follow!  I created a blue background using light blue cardstock from Papertrey Ink. The inks I used are stormy sky distress ink(Ranger), wet cement shadow ink(Hero Arts) and fresh snow white ink(PTI).  Dark blue cs is also PTI.

The white resin flourish is Melissa Frances. The leaves and pink and blue flowers are Prima. The tiny rosebuds, blue ribbon and gems are from Michaels. The pin is Maya Road. The buttons and sentiment are PTI. Black ink is Memories. Tag punch is Mc Gill. Lace trim from Flourishes. Black marker from American Crafts.

Thanks for stopping by today...go check out that video!
