Whimsy Stamps Guest Designer

Hello there!
I am so excited to be a Guest Designer for
Whimsy Stamps this month!!!!
Check it out here on the Whimsy Stamps Blog.

I created a few cards and I used the stamp sets Candy Corn Dress Up and Going Batty
I also used some dies, Kinetic Curved Hills, Tombstone Tag.
And, of course a stencil, Sun Rays!

I started off by inking up some watercolor cardstock.
For the night time sky I used distress oxide inks in shades
tumbled glass, mermaid lagoon, and chipped sapphire.
Than I placed the Sun Rays stencil over the cardstock and
brushed on some white ink. I added a few splashes of water.
For the field I used crushed olive, mowed lawn, and forest moss
and added a few splashes of water and paint splatter.
I die cut the field using Kinetic Curved Hills.
For the tombstone, I used hickory smoke and black soot.
I wrote RIP with a gel pen.

I colored up these candy corn cuties with Copic Markers in shades
W0, W1, W3, Y15, Y17, YR04, YR07
V12, V17, C1, C2, C5, C7
E25, E29
For the wood fence I used Wo, W2, W4, W6.
I heat embossed the sentiments.
I added some shimmer using clear stickles.

For this next card I inked up the Sun Rays stencil using wilted violet,
fossilized amber, and twisted citron.
Than splattered the same inks onto the background.

I inked up the bottles and injured bat with Copic Markers in shades
V12, V17, Y13, Y17, YG21, YG25
BG11, E31, E33, W00, W1, W6
E70, E71, E74, E79, E93, W00, W1
I used hickory smoke to create a base.
I added some clear stickles for shimmer and some sequins.

I hope you enjoyed this post!

I'm stopping by today to share with you a card I created
for my Guest Design Spot for Create A Smile!!!!

May All Your Wildest Dreams Come True

Hello there!!!
we are showcasing our favorite stamps, dies and or stencils combined with our favorite technique.
I love creating my own backgrounds. Certain stamp sets are perfect for just that!
The stamp set I used, Look For Stars, is ideal!
It has tiny stamps, like the stars and cloud, and moderately small stamps like the sleepy moon.
I absolutely adore the squirrel!!! The sentiment is from the set, Playtime.

Select your cardstock and stamps.
I used kraft cardstock for the base and white cardstock and vellum
for the cloudy path and squirrel.
Let's get started:
Stamp the moon and mask the image.
Stamp the stars and cloud.
Stamp the squirrel.

When your background is full, it's time to color.
I used Copic Markers in shades
Y15, Y15, Y26
BG11, BG15, BG18
RV63, RV66, RV69
E25, E27, E29, E49 (squirrel)
E40, E41, E43 (squirrel)
I added some white accents with a gel pen
and outlined the some images with a white pencil.
I also added some Stickles glitter.

I used Stitched Scallop Dies to create a cloudy path. I stamped the stars and sentiment.

Assemble your card.
